All I need to do now is sort a switch for the paper edge finger and make a cover for the printer. Once again all this wouldnt have been possible without this forum and all the posts written by you all, so thanks once again.

You are inspiring me.. I set out to make a dgt a while back, bought an R1800, all the wood, cut it down to size and before i started the tear-down on the R1800 i got into a car accident. Its been about a year, Im looking at the pile of wood and the R1800 right now like hmm.. I hope the printer still works! Anyway, thanks for the inspiration.

Hi,
GO for it, you will be surprised what you can do. I have decided to build a new one and incorporate a few changes and modifications that I have learnt while using my other machine, and ideas that members have kindly shared on these forums. I have included below a few photos, but its not finished yet so is liable to change. Any way best of luck and glad to hear that you have recovered OK from your accident.
Regards Marty

Hi, yes thats correct, tapped and fastened with 6mm stainless cap bolts. the remainder of the structure is 18mm MDF covered with .5mm aluminium, except for the tray which is 9mm MDF covered in the same way and cork on the bottom.

Here's my C88+ printing it's first shirt. I know it's not the best printer to use, but the documentation was thorough for the build. Thanks to everyone who makes this place special.
