Default Re: Epson Pro 3800

My other project without electronic and it is using friction mode and the platen is moving with pro 3885 Printer. it is printing on a piece of paper for testing purposes and I will upload another video printing on garment later. As you can see I am using always full ink chips and maintenance cartridge chip

Meanwhile I am testing my second project (using fix platen, bolt screw drive system and a moving printer with the help of MCU)

Benny,

Looking good, would you say the print speed on the 3880 is ssimilar to the 48xx print engines? When i tested this was my consensus..

Thank you...yes the printing speed is similar for all pro version they can lay some heavy inks for the price of slower speed.
I am using 1440 x 1440 DPI in that video

Printing on white t-shirt
1440x1440 DPI, Single CMYK channel, I didn't use double CMYK because sometimes the color was too dark (need to correct the printer color profile)
Later I will upload it to print on dark garment

Hi. Wich RIP you use to print on black t-shirts? You can see my project 3880 here https://www.t-shirtforums.com/diy-dtg...ml#post1172345
but I'm looking for a way to increase the amount of white ink - it's not enough inks to print exellent white underbase in first printing and i need to print white underbase two times ((((

Default Re: Epson Pro 3800

I am using gutenprint also to print white underbase or you can use Acrorip for epson 3880, mine is 3885 the same model send me an email to [email protected] I can tell you how to increase the ink amount in gutenprint but it is all depend on your xml setup on how you choose your channels for white inks. Epson Pro 3885 can spit more than enough white inks in one turn than desktop models printer.

I found one important thing - if you use WinGP - there is old xml for 3880 in arhive. You should download new gutenprint and replace xml folder with new files.

I am done porting my codes from 8bits MCU to 32bits MCU for my quadrature encoder sensor coding using STM32F4 Discovery. When I am moving my thumb to the right the counter on the LCD screen will go up and when I move my thumb to left the counter will decrease. More to go until I have a finish working moving printer DTG
