It is too soon to talk about that, I need to tinker further more with the main servo motor to get the best printing result. What good about this setup is you can adjust the servo instead of adjusting the paper feed from the software which is a time consuming one to avoid printing gap.

Oops I guess I have to move on to Epson Pro 4800 or 4880 with roll paper support to use this kind of setup the Pro 3800 keep searching for PW before it start to print or error out, let see about that.

I can turn off the check paper width sensor from the printer menu and let see what happen next, meanwhile I am ordering Epson Pro 4800 ( still can use Epson Pro 4880 Print head for 4800 series), just in case.

Thank you I need all the luck to finish this big project of mine with little spare time I have...yes 4000 head is different with 4800 but I think 4000 or 4800 is easier to convert to DTG than 3800 or 3880 because 40XX have roll paper mode

It is printing but no ink come out from the print head...Is it the fuse? or ffc cable? or need to reset all the counter in adjustment program?

Default Re: Epson Pro 3800

the fuse F6 turned out to be okay I guess it must be something else and it is not a print head clog because everything was fine before I tear it down. maybe ffc cable on the print head loosen up or something got to check the print head. or I should do some adjustment using the adjustment program.

I checked my ribbon cable with multitester and turnout to be okay too, I also cleaned the print head ribbon cable. fuse ok, ribbon cable ok, could be the head or change motherboard, I hope not.

Default Re: Epson Pro 3800

I called my friend who pre owned this printer (I saw the printer working) and he said he changed the print head prior to sell it to me with pro 3880 print head, and I input the print head ID and the program said incorrect print head ID, so I guess it is a print head problem .
He said he will search for the old print head for me and give it to me. Let see which one come first the new print head or the old one.

For those of you who are wandering about the startup sequence, yes it is starting up without errors, I am just waiting for the new print head to arrive and I will be able to continue with this project.
