Yes the V2 but I don't have the slot as what Terry mentioned. I am now dismantling my printer hoping to get all things right. I will just go on what I think is right and will find remedy for what problem I might encounter later on.

Hi chucky, Nope i did not put a slot on the drawer. I left my PE sensor in its original position.

Im having a new issue where my printer starts printing and after a few head passes my platten gets kicked out at high speed. Happened while i was printing a text head alignment test. Anyone has any clues on what it could be ?

Hey Chucky, it looks like it only happens when i do a "Print head alignment" test or Nozzle check it doesnt act like this when i print a regular image. Im going to investigate some more.

Hey Chucky, the only wire that i had to extend to make this work was from the motor of the friction drive. This is a super easy extension to do. When i have a bit more of time im going to try and extend a whole bunch of wires so that i can put everything under the side panels. As of now i do have a hugh mess of wires all over the place because i did not extend any of them except one.

Good look on your build !

Ok, this is the latest on my build, I am consistently printing but still having an issue with banding of the image.

What could be the cause of the banding? Any ideas of things i could try? There is a lot of pressure between the drive shaft and the cork. Anymore pressure and dont think the motor will be able to take it.

These are some details on my drive:

If you are not going to use a RIP I suggest using Gimp with Gutenprint. It is the most flexible printing application for the Espons. It will print through your existing print drivers on Windows.

It should work... What version of Gimp are you trying to run? Do you know what service pack your XP is? I recommend you're updated to service pack 2 or 3...
