Lightbulb Pretreatment Residue on Heat Press

I get quite a bit of pre-treatment buildup on the top plate of my heat press when I dry pre-treated shirts. Any idea how to get it off?

I usually wait till it gets hot enough and then try to rub off residue with a paper towel but that takes ages and can burn.

Any ideas appreciated.

Use a scrap shirt, you don't even need to turn off the press
