Default Pretreatment Wish List

Thinking about designing a new DTG pretreater. Many of the models out there are lacking in one thing or another. I have some ideas of what I would like to have, and would welcome your thoughts or suggestions. Thanks.

Default Re: Pretreatment Wish List

On pretreater #3 now here are things I'd like to see in a replacement unit.

1. Needs a platen that will not snag shirts and can withstand getting wet/being cleaned wet.
2. Platen needs to be interchangeable to allow pretreating youth shirts, narrow women's shirts and onesies.
3. Spray pattern needs to be adjustable.
4. If creating an enclosed unit to contain overspray, make sure the unit can be easily opened and cleaned.
5. If creating an enclosed unit, direct contained overspray into 1 focused collection area/container.
6. Find a way to manage overspray at the beginning of the spray cycle and dripping at the end of the cycle. Right now all of the pretreaters I have used start the spray before the platen starts moving which leads to an additional 2-3 pulses of liquid in the first 1-2 inches of the pattern. When the platen stops, as the pressure drops, the remaining fluid falls in large drops in the center of the last inch in the spray pattern.
