Default Issue with FB ink, print head or ink system

Hi there,
i would like to ask some help. I have a lot problems with print head/ink/printer or whatever. I try to use Firebird ink with my 4880 based printer and still i have an issue.

I'm able print about 3-4 prints only and i need to make a cleaning process because white coat is getting worse.
I read many topics about similar problems, i tried so many solutions and nothing helped.

As far as my ambient i have perfect conditions i think... 20-22 Celsius degree, 55-65% humidity. I use bagged cartridges so there is no extra pressure. Dampers replaced. There is no any block in the lines, ink flows free. Capping station replaced as well. All nozzles clear. I prefer nice and solid white coat so i print 100% of white. 3-4 prints and cleaning... again 3-4 prints and cleaning on more time.

After these few prints on the print head plate i notice a lot of white ink (picture attached). What is going on?
Please advice something especially Firebird ink users. I know that some people use this ink successfully. I very like FB, but there is something wrong and i can't figure it out.

Regards

What I do is clean the nozzle plate of the printhead with a cleaning swap and windex at the beginning of the day. I unlock the print head from the capping station before power up, clean the print head plate and then do the regular head clean routine. This is something that firebird does but it is not a big deal. You might find that you would need to do the procedure on the cmyk channels as well when your nozzle checks are not great.

Thanks Luis for reply. I envy you can print whole day doing only these operations

I realize that FB needs more maintenance, cleaning every few prints is ridiculous.

Luis, what printer do you use? How many prints you can do before next cleaning? How does look your print head plate after a couple prints?

Add wiping down the nozzle plate to your daily maintenance at the end of each day. With firebird you may have to wipe it several times a day. Just check the nozzle plate through out the day as your printing. If this doesn't get wiped off it will dry out and clog the head. Make sure to lightly wipe it from left to right or vice versa with an alcohol pad or foam swab with windex. Never rub and do not use tshirts or rags.

I don't use Firebird and probably never will. I'm quite happy with Dupont. But others have posted the same thing happening to them so I'm guessing it is normal. Either way I recommend adding wiping the nozzle plate to your daily maintenance no matter what ink your using.

It's not that I print the whole day. It's that when I print, I need to clean the nozzle plate and do a head clean.

What is happening, is that if you are not cleaning the nozzle plate of the print head, your head clean will never get rid of the residue that you see in your picture. And that will affect your printing after a few shirts.

Firebird ink is a great product, the CMYK washability is unbelievable! I had a white t shirt washed 20 times already, it still looks amazing!

The white ink takes a bit to get used to, because it is so different than dupont. One thing about the FB white ink is that it doesn't seem that it will ever clog! My nozzle checks are always perfect after a simple head clean. That is a bit more difficult with dupont.

Nobody nobody to solved this problem, the Lords of FIREBIRD are not pronounced in this respect, all these answers and solutions that in the Forum are nil I've done everything as they say and nothing works well, apparently ink FB expires a month and begins to cause problems, it is my thought, I still have this problem and I had to stop my production to wait to buy another brand... gonna try DUPONT and hope to solve this problem
