There is no way to stop them and this is a typical comment of someone starting out. Spend more time on marketing/selling and less worrying about things you cannot control.

Realistically, it is going to happen. If they are selling on a legit marketplace (Etsy, Amazon, Redbubble etc), you can file a DMCA complaint with the marketplace and get it taken down. If they have their own site and are jerks, you can try making a case with their hosting company or payment processor.

Note, if by design you mean your ever so cleaver collection of letters forming words forming a phrase ... readjust your expectations. A clever phrase on a T-shirt has no protection, unless it is trademarked--and trademarks are for your brand name, company name, or company slogan--the things that distinguish your brand in the marketplace. They are not for the 1,000 quips and clever phrases you put on shirts.

If you are talking actual graphical art, then it is in theory protected by copyright upon first publication.
