Exclamation GT-541 black ink issue

I have a Brother GT-541, and it has a lot of trouble with the black ink.
It printed 70+ shirts fine then all of the sudden the black ink stopped printing completely. We did a few head cleanings and nozzle checks and the black ink is printing again, but it's banding really badly.

On top of that, black ink (or all of the ink colors combined) has started leaking from the back left of the machine.

Any and all thoughts/suggestions would be helpful!

I haven't had a GT-541 for a while but I had an issue like this once and it sounds similar to yours. in the back of the machine after you take off the casing there is a little black motor in the back, that this does is acts like a peristaltic pump (which is what it is) inside of there is tubing that can sometimes split or slide off the main drain tube. For me it had split and come off, it was still somewhat pulling from the capping station but just oozing out the back. The way the printer works is there are 4 small tubes under each capping station cup that then go to a 2 y joints then those 2 tubes go to another y joint to that pump area and ultimately the main drain. The other thing it could be is that y joint is clogged somewhere along that crazy line or slipped off. You will have to remove all the casing and get under the printer to get at all these unfortunately. It's not a super easy job because of the tight spaces. For simplicity I would look at the main pump on the back first before having to dive head first into the machine.
