There are lots of posts here in the forum about the Brother GT541.

I've heard mostly good things about it. The only "negative" is that it doesn't do white ink/black shirts, but from what I've read, it does the white/light colored shirts with no problems.

If you search these forums for brother or brother gt-541, you'll find all kinds of posts where people have shared their experience with this printer. Even sample photos have been posted.

Hi,

I own the Brother GT-541 and love it. I originally had a T-jet table top model (similar to a DTG) and it was just too slow. I could only get about 8-10 shirts per hour because the T-jet needed to be double printed.

I sold it got a brother GT-541 and have been in print heaven every since. I can about 45 shirts per hour which is a far cry from 10.

It's true you can't print on "dark shirts" like Black, Forest Green because the machine doesn't print white ink.

However it does an awesome job on White and Light Colors garments. Also you can do dark shirts as long as the ink color you are printing is "Darker than the shirt.

I recently printed an order for "Navy ink on Orange" shirts for a university with no problem.

If i had it to do all over i would purchase the brother again. I've recently begun printing my own shirt line and the "finished results" i'm getting from this machine is awesome. As Rodney said if you do a search on the printer name on this board you'll find a lot of post including photos of what people have done on their machines.

Thanks Angela For The Input, It Seems Like Alot Of People Buy The Dtg Model And End Up Printing It Double And If You Figure It Out It Comes Out To Be Nearly The Same Price As The Brother. From My Understanding Talking With Others Is That On The Brother The Prints Last Longer Is That True?

We originally had a dtg kiosk and now have a Brother. Print was too slow and quality was not even as good with a double print. White was nothing but problems. Love the Brother. Wouldn't trade it! Fast and excellent quality. I think you hear more about the other machines because they cost less. If you have the money - get the Brother! you won't be sorry.

Yes they do.

Last week i had on a sample shirt someone sent me when i was considering the brother (over a year ago). I commented to my husband you know this shirt is a year old, has withstood all your heavy bleaching and it still looks vibrant.

When i get it from the wash again i'll try to take a photo to show it.

It still looks great over a year later.

Signed,
Printchic

I got a Brother in 2005 and love it...have had no problems, and print great color. Shirts I printed and sent to my son in Iraq in 2006 have been washed and worn many times and still look great.

Hello

I also own a Borther gt-541 and it's simply amazing.

Those of you who are looking to buy one I recommend visiting Brother GT-541

There you'll find 2 offers, to buy it new and factory serviced. If I were you, I would buy it factory serviced since it's ALOOOT cheaper than brand new. These are the best prices I found, even for the brand new.

Happy New Year to all

I agree, it's an amazing printer. I have it for 3 years now. A friend of mine bought it recently at an amazing price, from HERE. I paid $7,000 more than this when I got it.
