Hallo! I live in the middle of nowhere, in a place called Wendover. The town is 120 miles west from Salt Lake City (SLC), 120 miles East of Elko, Nevada (which also has a WalMart). The problem with living in the middle of nowhere is you have to do a little bit of everything to survive.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems, however since I graduated in 2002, this got me little work. By circumstance I ended up in the middle of nowhere, and even though I've left a few times, I keep coming back! I work on electronics, computers, and of course make t-shirts, signage, and a few other odds and ends in addition to running a gift shop.

ASD/AMD Show, Day 0

Hallo! Got into Vegas today, it's around 350'ish miles from Wendover, so we drove (a trip we've done many times). I'm with my family: brother (who just came to visit his friends), my mother, and my father. I grew up in Henderson, which at one time used to be "way out there" from Vegas, but now is a blurred line. Frankly I don't like the city, but having lived here, we know our way around. We have rooms at a pretty decent casino in Henderson for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday...

Saturday, closed for the day!

Well, Gift shop had very little business and our day is done now. I've finished the charm bracelet, and included a t-shirt comp for our cat.

I was sitting here reading the forums and an incident that occurred yesterday popped into my mind.

We were making two toddler shirts for a friend that we do business with occasionally. He wanted his company's logo on left chest front and across the back of the shirts. Due to miscommunication, I thought my mom had the shirt right...

Saturday, slow day at the shop!

Saturdays are our slow day at the shop, we recently redid our hours so we're only open half a day on Saturday, which is good. Me and my mother usually spend a full day at the shop anyways, doing various projects, rearranging the gift shop, things like that. Today's my father's birthday, so I doubt we'll be spending too much time after closing in the shop. I enjoy a closed shop because I can listen to music and not have to worry bout someone coming in the door.

Today I plan on finishing...
