Arrived 2 days ago, been working on getting it up and running. Awaiting some parts from DAN, and michelle has been more than helpful, even Bellquette answered the phone once, and offered some help. I guess in a few days will know if made correct decision. BTW I purchased a new Vista dell computer. Should I erase the drive and install XP?

so i have been reading up on this conversation that you have been going on with buying a used flexi-jet. I want to sell mine, do you have any ideas of how to, where to (besides here), how much i should ask for... i am glad that there are people like Dan and Michelle to help people (althought i have never talked to them) but i am still nervous that once it is sold, the buyer will not have the support they need. What am I supposed to tell them? I have also tried to contact All American and Belquette and they were no help in trying to re-sell their product. PLEASE HELP!

Other than the classifieds here, people have also had success listing their printers on www.digitsmith.com. www.craigslist.org, www.dtginks.com (which also has a support forum), www.inkjetgarmentprinters.com , and many have had good success in their local newspaper.

As far as support, BelQuette has posted in several places on this forum that they will offer ongoing support at an hourly rate plus parts for the Flexi. I have not seen anywhere that they listed a time frame when support would end. I have not seen anywhere All American has addressed this subject publicly yet.

Update did receive printer back in January. After about 10 days of calling on a problem where the image was oversized it is now working. The firmware needed updating to work correctly with the rip software. Now just need to fix the motor lifts.

Stevie,
Who at BelQuette did you speak with regarding the sale your machine? BelQuette will support any user of their product, regardless of the age of the product and how many people have owned it; we have never denied service to anyone.

I have personally seen and heard of disaster stories of people buying machines from repo. companies and from eBay, as long as the machine is in working order before it’s sold, the inks are drained from the system (and waste tank cleaned out), its properly packaged and shipped on a pallet with a reputable freight company there should be no initial issues.

There are many places to get documentation, I know Dan & Michelle have LOTS of info, and we have guides and videos to get them up and going.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Hi Randy,
Your board is on its way back to you, Matt tested it and made a few adjustments. I am sending you an email re: the wiring. When will you be back in town?

Thanks Renee, you have been very helpful. I will not be back till March 11 I believe. I did write down on paper where everything was connected, especially the power wires to the board as they were not discernible from +-.
If it does not fix it I will just rig up some spacers or something.
Have a good day.

I have heard a few horror stories but I think most people are pretty happy with the used machines they have bought. Of course proper shipping prep is very important- as mentioned above.
