They were quoting end of first quarter and low to mid $20's at sgia. I hope the timing is true...I am likely waiting to enter dtg to wait for them...

Being this early, it's hard to give a final price, but with 2 Ricoh Gen5 heads, it will most likely be in the mid to upper 20's.

It will print up to 18"x20", but since a standard heat press is 16"x20", that will be the largest platen available unless enough customers want the full 18". The footprint of the printer is 29"x42".

24" would not work in this product, but we do have plans for larger printable areas in the future. Our goal was to get a large print in a small format. This is smaller than our Mod1 but can print much larger.

After checking with Engineering, we do have a full 18"x24" printable area on the Genesis. We were shooting for 16"x20" and I wasn't aware of the larger size capability!

This is a great leap forward, Belquette= A smart in house true manufacturer in the USA and started in a home. All it takes is a thought, dream, hard work, a good team and engineering. Congratulations. Not too many people can say they did this.

Wish you all the best

BTW why the name Genesis? Who came up with it and what's the story behind the name?

We were brainstorming to come up with a name and Brett asked about the name Genesis. At first we weren't sure, but the more we thought about it, the more we liked it. Even though it's the first book of the Bible, it wasn't necessarily a biblical reference we were going for. Genesis represents the origin or beginning of something.

We've been around since 1996 and in that time, we took apart printers and rebuilt them into something different. We've built printers that were dedicated to print on footballs, canvas, fingernails and shirts but all of these used an already existing printer.

The Genesis is the culmination of our understanding focused into one product. There has been quite a bit of innovation in our products throughout the years, but this is the first where we rely solely on our know how. We didn't take someone else's technology and reverse engineer it, rather we started with an idea and created something from nothing. In a sense, the Genesis is more of a defining moment for BelQuette, it is a "New Beginning".

Putting aside the puff and fluff it's hard to convey what this product means to our company. If something doesn't function properly, we have no one to fall back on and cast blame (not that we really did that before), but it will define us as a company and our future products.

We do not have, nor plan to have pretreat sheets. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I thought that this may have been the reason. Its a new time for DTG and industrial machines are here. Cheers to your new beginning. Great story and man what a journey its been for you. I remember the old Flexi Jet days and now its crazy to see how things have changed. I knew this market was going up 8 years ago and its amazing to see where it is today
