Lightbulb Get Flexijet L back up and running.

Hello kevrokr, It has been awhile. I first met you in Philly now you in Fla., nice move. I need to get my flexijet L back up and running. I am looking to get price on updates such as the version 8 chip or motherboard. I was getting the 1004 or 1001d error alot. Will the PowerRip ver. 7.2.7 run on windows 7? That is not too much of a problem because I do have the xp mode plugin loaded on my win7. Would it be best to upgrade to a newer PowerRip for the machine to run better? How much do upgrade costs?

We can help you get back on track. All firmware updates for BelQuette products are free and only available through BelQuette. As for the error codes and software updates, give me a call at the office on Monday and I'll be able to look at what you have, and do updates remotely.

When was the last time the machine was used?

been weighing about putting the $$$'s into getting a Flexi-Jet L up and running - -someone had it in storage for a while and didn't put it there properly so needless to say it appears to need a print head, capping station and tubing (at the least). system has 4 of the original heated platens (don't think they're sold anymore) -- maybe Belquette would want it for a museum piece...

Even though this is funny, we still have many users still printing with the Flexijet. If you wanted to send it in to us, we would update it at no cost, and give you a quote on getting it back up and running....

yes we've discussed that option and that is still on the table.

What about the PowerRip? I got that in the deal w/ the printer (ver 7.2.6 w/ a serial #)?

There are various options for the RIP, if you wanted to give me a call we could discuss it further.

Ok, now I have the upgraded version 8 chip board in and just installed the Harness encoder,pf. I started the printer up at the front with no errors and base states to push start button to send to home, but the printer does nothing.

I talked with Matt and tried some thing like turning the screw with my hand and the printer moves.
I moved it some then turned just the base on, then use the left arrow to go to maintenance mode to move home.
It moves to the front of the base and then tried to go home but stops. It states the the printer is moving.

Did I connect a wire wrong on the board? I made sure that each wire went back to where it came from.

If I hand turn to screw to bring the printer to the middle then it the home the screw works to bring it back to the front of the base.

No Kevin, it was after talking with Matt. I am still trying to figure out why it will not go to the back of the base from the front. If i hand turn the printer to the back and then turn on the base and do the left arow to get to the home, it moves the printer back to the front with no problem. I am not getting any errors also. I am getting ready to upload pic of the board in a few minutes.

I am still trying to get my flexijet working correctly after the mod 8 update.

Now the board has a short somewhere, so when i put it back in the machine it does nothing til I move it or just have it sitting loose in the space.

Now the machine will move.
Now the machine will not stay at home and runs into the front of the machine. BelQuette tech states that it works in their machine. I was not having short issues or home issues before the upgrade or mod to board(which is a soldered in mod to the bottom of board)
Here is link to video of flexijet.

I got frustrated and left it along for awhile plus I work in IT and doing major software upgrade at hospital has taken up my time and mind.

Watt,

Please give me a call here at the office at your earliest convenience. The issue is most likely that the new update does not pair with the older base due to some wiring we changed. Most likely the signals are inverted.

Our number is 877.202.0886 ext. 103.

Thanks!
