Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

Hey guys,

New to the forum, just started screen printing about a week ago. I'm after fashion style slim tee's.

I have made up a list of the shirts I have gathered from the forum. I'm having trouble finding suppliers in Australia. As I'm just starting out I'm looking for the a very small minimum (1-10 for example) or none at all.

Hopefully some people can help out fill in the details and this will be helpful for everyone. I will keep the main image updated with any new information.

Admin update: here's a link to the updated Google spreadsheet with the vendors listed: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...GA&output=html

Hi and welcome to the business.

I would suggest that you try SUPERIOR ACTIVEWEAR www.superioraw.com.au for the Gildan shirts.

Also you might want to take a look at AS COLOUR
www.ascolour.com.au
They have some very nice shirts and hoodies.

Another suggestion is T-SHIRT MAGIC.
www.t-shirtmagic.com.au
Also a good selection.

I have found all 3 suppliers very helpful and efficient....... good to do business with!

Continental Clothing do not have a supplier here as yet. I believe it is in the pipeline though.

Anvil & Hanes are from the U.S.

Hope this is of some help for you.

Do you know which of the ascolour shirts is a similar similar fit to the AA 2001?

donna truman June 8th, 2009 06:33 AM

re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

No sorry, I'm not familiar with that shirt.

AA - is that American Apparel?

AA's advertising/selling methods go a bit against the grain for my liking so I stay clear of the company. I'm pretty sure that you can source them here in Australia though.
Maybe someone else can help you with that.

Did you have a look at AS's website.
The pictures should give you a pretty good idea.

cheers

After doing a bit more reading I think I know what I'm after. Anyway I updated the list and I hope this is helpful for anyone else. :)

The Paper Tee from AS does decrease a few $'s when you get 4 or more - as do all their shirts.

Also, T-Shirt Magic does a "conference" shirt that is for quantities over ?100 at a very reasonable price.

I haven't personally seen this shirt so cant comment on any more than that.

All the very best in your adventure.;)

You can find some Australian t-shirt suppliers that have been mentioned in previous threads here: australia related topics at T-Shirt Forums

You may want to change the image to an editable Google Spreadsheet Document that can be easily updated and viewed: http://docs.google.com

i have ordered samples of all of these tees and still am not too happy with any of them. still haven't managed to get my hands on the AA yet. my vote would go to the AAA 5301 but i still want to try all the options before i start printing.

Gday guys,
I have been buying from a supplier in Southern Sydney for a short time and they are good people. They have excellent contacts in China as well if you need any clothing made to your specs. They have thick hoodies for $20 with the ykk zip. They have good black shirts with different gsm like tshirt magic. They sell white shirts and can supply different coloured dyes.Excellent prices for bulk. Can get Gildan ****s as well if needed.:)

You need to varify that you are a ligit. wholesaler and go through the registration process - then they'll allow you to access the wholesale pricing.
It's not difficult and then you can access any time you want.

Hey guys,

I am a apparel manufacturer and would like to set up a business in Aus to supply blanks, what sort of advise could you give me as you will be the customers.

Are you looking for quality? low minimums, pricing that sort of thing? I am also open to suggestions.

Cheers

Hi
Not sure if your post will be revoked - ? advertising
but ....

Me personally:
I'm frustrated that its so difficult to source good quality, fashionable women's t-shirts / different styles / colours etc etc at affordable prices, compared to other countries.:(

Also, the absence of the same styles in larger sizes for the more curvacious gals.

And yet another - difficulty in sourcing kids / youth fashionable t-shirt etc. - again at affordable prices.

suomaf February 16th, 2010 12:30 AM

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

Thanks Donna,

I am not sure if I am advertising seeing as I still do not have a company in Aus.. regardless..

Agree with the larger sizes.. I am a big boy myself and I hate it when I am not able to get a shirt / pants because they do not cater to my size.. or it has run out..

When you say affordable prices.. what do you mean.. go crazy here as I am a manufacturer and would like to know what the screenprinters / embroiderers call affordable

donna truman February 16th, 2010 03:47 AM

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

well, I'm basing my comparisons on prices & styles you see in the U.S. for example.
Where they might pay about $3 - $6, we will have to pay approx. $7 - $10 or $12 for the same styles. Makes keeping the pricing reasonable, difficult.
Gildan have introduced a more fashionable style at a pretty good price but I prefer styles like AS Cotton / Bella / Continental Clothing / AA etc. for the applications I use the shirts for.
There's no point putting Swarovski crystals (or anything else for that matter) on a cheap and nasty piece of clothing.

suomaf February 16th, 2010 06:34 PM

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

I am not sure I understand if it is USD $3-6 then should you not pay only about 10% more considering the exchange rate now? Why is the price so high?

donna truman February 17th, 2010 02:47 AM

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

Prices quoted are from suppliers here in Australia!
I've never purchased clothing from outside of Australia - put off by the conversion rates + shipping.
Might be worth a try now but still haven't taken the plung.

Thanks Donna,
I am working out the numbers and its interesting, I am thinking about plus sizes and body suits.. more niche items.

donna truman February 19th, 2010 04:55 AM

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

What are body suits?
How about kids/youth more stylish t-shirts ie. nice cut, cap sleeves ? 1/2 way between normal and scoop neck type thing??
They're hard to find.

suomaf February 19th, 2010 09:41 PM

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

This is a bodysuit.. for infants
I would like to work on qty to see how viable it will be to bring in a container to aus and then send it out the various states as the orders come.
At the moment I am thinking of storing the whole lot at a warehouse / or friend's garage and running the business thru a website..

Hi suomaf,

I am interested in streetwear based styles which are very hard to find and are in high demand within the scenes I know and enjoy.

I have alot to do with skate snow and surf fashion, I also have many friends in bands and that DJ regularly around sydeny and melbourne there is common clothing link in all these scenes. And there are not enough brands(in my opinion) in Australia or America catering to them int erms of t-shirt cuts.

We want to see shirts that are longer in overall length with out the increase in sleeve length or width I see too many "square"shirts as we call this means as the size increase the shirt gets wider the sleeves get wider and longer and the length doesnt change.

What I would like to see is:
Shirts that increase in the same ratio all over as the size get larger(or increases where they are need:in overall length, width and sleeve width). This allows people individuality in the size they choose without sacrificing a good shape.

A mix of thin light tees for nights out and to relax in and some more heavy duties tees for skating, snow etc.

Low/wide necks and v-necks with a thinner collar.

Long, low neck and open arm singlets are also very popular(made popular in australia recently by surf/indie brand "insight")

For girls longer more loose fitting singlet like tees with and without sleeves that can be worn as dresses.

As for colours vintage distressed looks are sought after as well as stonewash style occasionally tie dies.

I know this is an in depth description but this is exactly what I am searching for in Australia and cant find. AA seem to be the best and are very good but still lack in some sizing areas. There is another brand selling in australia Called "Line" who sell through general pants co. and are extremely popular blanks but I cant find a wholesale for them.

Donna was right that shipping is the Main expenxse when buying form the states so we usually get hit with around $12-14 a shirt. I would personally be extremely happy with 6-10 Australian dollars a shirt.

I hope some of this helps and I'm sorry this was so long. I have recently started this comapny and have only bothered to print a few of my most basi designs because I dont want to waste my energy on poor blanks. I aim at a youth market and I want to do it right they have limited money and should get the best for what they spend.

If you end up getting set up please let me know I would love to talk more

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

Thanks man,

Appreciate the post. I know exactly what you are talking about. I supply a lot of stuff to akademiks and phat farm. I also developed some stuff to a "rapper" for his private line. 6-10 Aussie is doable for me, if the quantities are right. I still need to figure out costs for warehousing or if I just bung everything in a relative's house and send it out by courier that way. I asked around for a shop / warehouse the last time I was there and its steep. Props to you guys who run a shop. If you do need anything urgently, you could PM me and we can try to work something out.

Re: Australian Wholesale Blank T-Shirts Suppliers List

We have found the Johnnybobbin t shirt fantastic and hard wearing.

My main problem is; I cannot find bright coloured infants and kids shirts. Right now i need around 30 royal blue and 30 hot pink from size 00 - 8.

I can get 1-2 etc in hot pink but no royal blue.
Anything under that in infants wear is just plain puke light blue or pale pale pink.

Any ideas people?

Try Ausport in Marrickville Sydney. They offer the Sportage Range of t-shirts. Good value and nice people.

Found an t-shirt wholesaler AD and ordered some sample tees the day before yesterday. See attached photo.

I use DTG printer now. According to the printing result, those are really the cheapest and decent quality blank tees I've ever ordered these years in Sydney. They sell from 7-tee package for only $15 ($2). I think it's lower than the factory bulk order price. ;)

Btw, the hoodie there seems also quite nice ($15ea), I'll try it this autumn. (Their brochure link here: usbuysoon.com/t )

Cheers

I typed in the information you listed and was directed to a website page that had a pretty shoe etc and some ?Chinese writing. Looked like you needed more information to access the site. Any further details that you can give?

Donna, there's a "/t" after the site address to get to t-shirt info. Still mostly in Chinese, but there's an email address.

Thanks for that info Bluelite... The text is Japanese, which gives me hope as the cut and finish on tees over there is usually pretty good.

You don't happen to know if they do women's and children's sizes do you?
