Hey guys,

New to the forum, just started screen printing about a week ago. I'm after fashion style slim tee's.

I have made up a list of the shirts I have gathered from the forum. I'm having trouble finding suppliers in Australia. As I'm just starting out I'm looking for the a very small minimum (1-10 for example) or none at all.

Hopefully some people can help out fill in the details and this will be helpful for everyone. I will keep the main image updated with any new information.

Admin update: here's a link to the updated Google spreadsheet with the vendors listed: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=taDpsVykt64RL4rjWgHmRGA&output=html

Update: Can an admin here please create a duplicate of the Google Sheet and take over the post as I'm no longer active here. Here's the link Tees

Hi and welcome to the business.

I would suggest that you try SUPERIOR ACTIVEWEAR www.superioraw.com.au for the Gildan shirts.

Also you might want to take a look at AS COLOUR
www.ascolour.com.au
They have some very nice shirts and hoodies.

Another suggestion is T-SHIRT MAGIC.
www.t-shirtmagic.com.au
Also a good selection.

I have found all 3 suppliers very helpful and efficient....... good to do business with!

Continental Clothing do not have a supplier here as yet. I believe it is in the pipeline though.

Anvil & Hanes are from the U.S.

Hope this is of some help for you.

No sorry, I'm not familiar with that shirt.

AA - is that American Apparel?

AA's advertising/selling methods go a bit against the grain for my liking so I stay clear of the company. I'm pretty sure that you can source them here in Australia though.
Maybe someone else can help you with that.

Did you have a look at AS's website.
The pictures should give you a pretty good idea.

cheers

The Paper Tee from AS does decrease a few $'s when you get 4 or more - as do all their shirts.

Also, T-Shirt Magic does a "conference" shirt that is for quantities over ?100 at a very reasonable price.

I haven't personally seen this shirt so cant comment on any more than that.

All the very best in your adventure.;)

You can find some Australian t-shirt suppliers that have been mentioned in previous threads here: australia related topics at T-Shirt Forums

Hopefully some people can help out fill in the details and this will be helpful for everyone. I will keep the main image updated with any new information.
You may want to change the image to an editable Google Spreadsheet Document that can be easily updated and viewed: http://docs.google.com

Gday guys,
I have been buying from a supplier in Southern Sydney for a short time and they are good people. They have excellent contacts in China as well if you need any clothing made to your specs. They have thick hoodies for $20 with the ykk zip. They have good black shirts with different gsm like tshirt magic. They sell white shirts and can supply different coloured dyes.Excellent prices for bulk. Can get Gildan ****s as well if needed.:)

Hey guys,

I am a apparel manufacturer and would like to set up a business in Aus to supply blanks, what sort of advise could you give me as you will be the customers.

Are you looking for quality? low minimums, pricing that sort of thing? I am also open to suggestions.

Cheers

Hi
Not sure if your post will be revoked - ? advertising
but ....

Me personally:
I'm frustrated that its so difficult to source good quality, fashionable women's t-shirts / different styles / colours etc etc at affordable prices, compared to other countries.:(

Also, the absence of the same styles in larger sizes for the more curvacious gals.

And yet another - difficulty in sourcing kids / youth fashionable t-shirt etc. - again at affordable prices.

Thanks Donna,

I am not sure if I am advertising seeing as I still do not have a company in Aus.. regardless..

Agree with the larger sizes.. I am a big boy myself and I hate it when I am not able to get a shirt / pants because they do not cater to my size.. or it has run out..

When you say affordable prices.. what do you mean.. go crazy here as I am a manufacturer and would like to know what the screenprinters / embroiderers call affordable

well, I'm basing my comparisons on prices & styles you see in the U.S. for example.
Where they might pay about $3 - $6, we will have to pay approx. $7 - $10 or $12 for the same styles. Makes keeping the pricing reasonable, difficult.
Gildan have introduced a more fashionable style at a pretty good price but I prefer styles like AS Cotton / Bella / Continental Clothing / AA etc. for the applications I use the shirts for.
There's no point putting Swarovski crystals (or anything else for that matter) on a cheap and nasty piece of clothing.

This is a bodysuit.. for infants

I would like to work on qty to see how viable it will be to bring in a container to aus and then send it out the various states as the orders come.
At the moment I am thinking of storing the whole lot at a warehouse / or friend's garage and running the business thru a website..

Thanks man,

Appreciate the post. I know exactly what you are talking about. I supply a lot of stuff to akademiks and phat farm. I also developed some stuff to a "rapper" for his private line. 6-10 Aussie is doable for me, if the quantities are right. I still need to figure out costs for warehousing or if I just bung everything in a relative's house and send it out by courier that way. I asked around for a shop / warehouse the last time I was there and its steep. Props to you guys who run a shop. If you do need anything urgently, you could PM me and we can try to work something out.

We have found the Johnnybobbin t shirt fantastic and hard wearing.

My main problem is; I cannot find bright coloured infants and kids shirts. Right now i need around 30 royal blue and 30 hot pink from size 00 - 8.

I can get 1-2 etc in hot pink but no royal blue.
Anything under that in infants wear is just plain puke light blue or pale pale pink.

Any ideas people?
