Default Any experience with EBAY HAT PRESS vs BRAND NAME??

I already have a galaxy 15" heat press and is working perfectly for what tees, singlets, jumpers etc. but want to get into doing some hats and bum bags.

I don't want to fork out $1200 for a Geo Knight hat press as found on GJs.co
Also found this one from ebay for $178.. what do you think??

Any experiences or opinions on ebay hat presses in particular?

You will learn a harsh lesson by spending money on junk. We all have.

I've watched cheap presses catch fire when they're turned off. I've seen cheap presses fail right before a big job is due.

I love my Geo Knight presses, they have never failed me ever. We just did a job that took 30 hours straight (4 shifts) and our 2 Geo Knights were on the entire time.

I'd say at least aim for a second-hand branded Heat press

Okay start shooting.
Got one of them. works just fine, fast to heat up for doing logo's, tee sleeves and stuff and there are just two gripes with it. it didn't lift high enough so I cut out the retaining bar and replaced that with a stainless bolt an inch higher so the platen lifts about 3 inches higher. and the heat platen isn't teflon coated it's just plain ally.
It's weird to set the timer, you have to hold the handle down half way and set the temp etc and wait for it to stop flashing, but hey ho I must have a good one. Got that as the hat press I got from BMS fried it's element as soon as it was out of warranty.
