Hi Rick, being on a recommendation that adds to the frustration and disappointment. That happened to me with a Mazda RX7, my brothers next door neighbour had for sale. I bought it and on the way home the radiator blew out! A week later the clutch fried. I wasn't happy as my brother kept telling me it was a perfect car! Never mind, he's back in my good books.

I have now had 2 of the ones from ebay. I had a small one at first swing arm adn it was fine, used it for about 18 months no problems. Then sold it and upgraded to a 38x38 clamshell again of ebay and it works really good for me. I dont use it to do transfers I only heat set my screen printing with it. It runs a little hotter but I compensate by lowering the temp. Timer works well etc. I would not use it to do heat transfers thou as the heat is not evenly distributed thru the press. Other than that for the $350 I got it for I can not complain. Dan

Tempting as is to get a heat press on the cheap, you forego all possibility of after-sales support should anything go wrong.
