Default Possible change of opinion on Ricoh and Anajet

Basically I reached out to anajet about the RI 6000 at the end of 2017 to learn about the Ri 6000. I told the salesman I was only looking for information because really I did not get much sales for my current business so I was not really looking to invest yet. Well the salesman said that anajet had a fullfillment network and they would send us orders so that wouldnt be a problem. In fact he had told me that I would get over a few hundred orders a day and I would pay this machine off super quickly. Well I took that paying off quickly with a grain of salt but the comments on the fullfillment network I did take seriously and he guarenteed it. Well We bought 2 RI 6000s and join this fullfillment network. Well the network is not even run by anajet. The network is actually run by another company who is actually a great group of guys and I dont regret joining them. However, the volume is no where near what anajet promised so only one printer was ever turned on and the other was still in the box. The anajet tech said that would be okay since it has high viscosity cleaning solution in it and could be kept for long term storage until we needed it. Well we finally went to turn it on and set it up today and the print heads dont fire at all and on top of that the rubber gaskets for the maintenance station must have been sticking to the print head plates beacuse now the tops of the gasket are stuck to print head plates (tech said at some point it must have melted to the print head plate, I live in baltimore so its not that hot here in my finished basement so it had to of happened during shipping). We are still under warranty but come to find out print heads are not usually covered under the warranty. Also, the printer keeps getting air in the lines as well which doesnt help as well so despite just getting this going for the first time I have had to take this thing apart and they are telling me theres a chance they might replace the printer. So stick around to find out. Otherwise I really would say its worth it to just stick with epson or brother. Its almost like driving off the lot in a broken car thinking you are covered bumper to bumper and really you arent. Really sucks since these were 25k and I wanted to realy like anajet after all the horror stories I read. So hopefully they do the right thing and replace it. I definitely dont feel like doing the print head replacements since this thing is brand new but that may even be an option. Il let future DTG buyers know how this turns out but man this is a scary situation. As for the salsman who made all these false promises (which I have in email) I would really hope he isnt telling lies about this large volumee of orders for this fullfillment network. I have gone a week or so without a single order and he was promising a couple hundred a day lol. People also say you get what you pay for and the RI 6000 was the most expensive of the borther, epson, and ricoh products and right now its a 25k paper weight .

Anyway il let you guys know how it goes like i said but for now it might be best to steer clear.

I was actually looking at buying one of these, now I am having second thoughts. May have to look at the Brother GTX instead.

I've operated an Anajet MP5i for 2 years now and will gladly affirm that the horror stories are true. This thing has been down more than running during this 2 years. We finally started to make some money with it when we completely abandoned the white ink and only print CMYK ink. 2 thumbs down

You should not give up on the white ink. I have been running a MP5i for 5 years and I have had more trouble with color inks than the white. Can I recommend the Anajet? Absolutely not, unless you are a very technically and mechanically minded individual. If you are in the eastern time zone also stay away from Anajet because they have no supply or support on the east side of the country.
