Default Designs not printing

I just received my Anajet MP-5. I set with with their tech support by telephone. I downloaded the latest AnaRIP 4.0 version per their instructions. Last night I attempted my first print (red text and a white T). The only thing that printed is in the pic below. The thumbnail image appears correctly on the control panel. I attempted a different design today with the same print result however the print head stops at 30%.
I have re-ripped both designs, I have attempted sending to the printer from different computers (both computers have the same anaRIP versions from fresh downloads) and have attempted direct to printer and delivery by USB thumb drive.
Any ideas on what I am doing incorrectly? The stock Anajet sea turtle prints fine.
Was I supposed to download any drivers or additional software in order for this to work?

Rather than giving you a cynical response such as "good luck" I'll try and actually help. In anarip, are you enlarging the image past 100%? If you are that can cause the print to freeze or not print correctly. If the image needs to be enlarged, do it In your image editing software and not the rip software.

Thanks for the reply!
The designs have not been enlarged in the anarip software. The were designed in the size of the actual print. One in Photoshop, the other a customer created in an unknown program and sent as a high resolution jpg.

How are you connected to your printer? Or do you use a Flash drive? Have you checked to make sure all the firmware on the printer is up to date?

Greetings.

Is the sea turtle already loaded on the printer?
open anarip and select view -> manage printers... Is your printer shown correctly as mp5i?
Is the enable box checked for the mpower MP5 file and the box blank for mpower MP10 file.

are you connected to your printer by usb or ethernet or both.

I have connected both ways and the firmware on the printer. Thanks for all of your input.

Yes the sea turtle was already loaded to the printer.
I retraced all of the steps and with the exception of importing directly from Photoshop (which imports very fuzzy), the images print fine in .jpg and .tiff . I think that I may have had the incorrect printer as the default in the anarip software.
