Default Mp5 One Pass Printing?

Hello I am actually on my 3rd Mp5i from Anajet which is their newest model! I have never been able to do one pass for color printing b/c from my experience after one wash the cotton becomes uncombed and there is just not enough ink on the shirt to make it look good. I have experimented with turning the saturation all the way up with no luck. Does anyone else have this experience. Is there something I could do to prevent having to do two passes every shirt? Thanks!

What shirts are you printing on?
Firmware version?
anarip version?
did you try setting variable dot range to wide?

Don't use anything that says stain release.

Default Re: Mp5 One Pass Printing?

I use a combination of Next Level, Bella and Canvas, Alternative Apparel, American Apparel and Royal Apparel (100% organic). Every brand I have to do two prints. I use the last AnaRip version because the new one was having an issue on my Dell I am not sure why. I also do not think this would matter because I have been through a few different firmware and anarips over the course of 2 1/2 years and have experienced this problem with the three different Anajets I have had. Any suggestions? The print holds up if I do one pass but honestly if someone puts it in the dryer the cotton is no longer combed and there does not seem to be enough ink on the shirts which look faded due to the fibers popping through after the wash. I use a Geo Knight clamshell to cure the auto pop DK20A.

Go back to Anarip V2.6 until you can get V4.0 working on your computer.
do you pre-press the shirts before printing?
Is this with CMYK on light shirts or with all shirts?

Ok thanks! With white its ok...Only with CMYK on light shirts...I usually do not press the shirts before I print since they are all combed cotton but sometimes I flash them to get the wrinkles out to get an even print...Do you think pressing before I print helps with light shirts printing CMYK?

I found that pre pressing helps with all shirts.
