I think once a sale is made, it's reflected immediately in the reports.

However, because of the return policy they have for customers, you don't get paid that money right away. I think it's like a 30 day wait.

Rodney is right. If you sell something it will show up immediatly in your earnings report. You should get an email about the purchase as well. It will take 30days for earnings to be cleared. You also have to reach $25 before you can get a payment.
Since a couple of days now it is possible to request a payment via paypal also if you haven't reached the $25 yet.
