I just wanted to share my recent experiences with these companies. I had my first "big" order (big for me, anyway - about 450 pieces, assorted t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants), and I split my order between Sanmar and S&S based on price. Both had free shipping due to the amount of my order.

I received the shirts very quickly from both companies, I'm sure my UPS driver wasn't thrilled but it was funny to come home to see 11 large boxes in front of my door.

After pressing all of the items, I realized that one pair of sweatpants from Sanmar had a tiny little hole in them, near the middle of the pants, and one sweatshirt from S&S had what appeared to be water spots all over the back.

I called both companies yesterday, mid-morning. I spoke with a rep from Sanmar who said they would send out a new pair at, essentially, no charge (I had to pay for the pair, but they credited my card with the cost on the initial order, so no additional cost), with free shipping. I left a voicemail with S&S and they called back in the afternoon and said they would send a new shirt at no charge.

Today, less than 24 hours later - got my new pair of pants from Sanmar (how did they do it so fast??) and am expecting the shirt from S&S tomorrow or Thursday.

So I'm just blown away with the customer service and I felt compelled to share it with everyone. I know people are very quick to complain when they have problems, but tend to forget to praise. If anyone was thinking of doing business with either of these companies, don't hesitate!

Thanks Glenn for posting your positive experience. It really is true too that not enough post about their positive experiences as much as the bad. I love seeing this kind of feedback and how some companies go above and beyond to help the customer be successful Thanks again for a great post.

Great Post! I totally agree with you on this, Sanmar service is way higher than average and I do highly recommend them too. On few experience that I have with them, I never hear any hesitation at all from their customer service when it comes to taking care of the problem or any issue. If there's a 5 star rating, I would give them 6!!

One additional thing I should point out.

I placed my order with Sanmar on a Friday night the week they were having a sale. The sale ended on that date, and the prices were still sale prices. On Monday I got the confirmation but it was for the non-sale prices. I called customer service and they explained that the sale ends at 5 PM Friday. However, she also said there was a new sale starting that day that was ever better than the previous one so she cancelled my order and re-placed it with the new sale prices, saving me about $75 off what I thought I was going to pay.

Please feel free to forward it along, and just so they get the extra credit, it was Jan who I originally dealt with who helped me save on the new sale, and it was Jennifer who sent me the replacement.

Has SanMar gone up on their prices considerably in the last few days. We have been a customer for about 4 years now, and normally can get the 29m or PC61 for $1.75, today (this morning) the prices show $2.40.

I've noticed that Sanmar is always having new sales that start on Mondays so check then. Based on my experience, if you were planning on ordering over the weekend, wait until Monday morning so you can take advantage of any sales. They don't ship until Monday anyway.
