I'm trying to find a sample T-shirt for printing. I'm finding Fruit, Gildan and Stedman a bit scratchy and a little too long in the sleeve. I often wear Topman plain T-shirts (it's a British store - just opened in NYC) - I find them soft, fitted and not too long - can anyone suggest either a good t-shirt to try next, or where / how Topman achieve such a soft snug Tee?
Look at the back of your tag and see if there is any indication of the style of the t-shirt. Gildan offer's a ring spun t-shirt, model 64000, I picked one up at a trade show and it was quite comfortable. Much like Automobiles, t-shirt companies produce various makes/models for different audiences. More than likely you got a Gildan 2000/5000, which is just a basic cotton t-shirt, the Neon of t-shirts if you will!
Thanks Lee and Joe - I'm gonna get some ringspun T-shirts and see how they feel - is ringspun a tech way of manufacture? Anyhow, I'll report back - bet you can't wait?!!
Got a Gildan 64000 T-shirt today, love it! thanks guys. The ring spun really is soft and comfortable. Comes up a little small under the arms, but I guess I'll have sell a size up. Most helpful forum - ta!!!
