There is a company out there named Butter. They are doing great sweatshirts. The colored blank has an amazing softness to it. I think they are doing a special wash process,. It has been suggested to me that it is a silicone wash. Anyone know anything about this type of garment or where to find it

Do you know if it is a 100% cotton fleece or a cotton/poly blend? There is definitely some type of silicone or enzyme wash process involved (as well as the quality of the fabric used). This was most likely achieved during a garment dye process. The other scenario would have been processing the fabric during the knitting and dye process (for a piece dyed cut & sew process).

If you want to get to something similar to this I would recommend working with PFD hoodies so you can garment dye them and apply a vintage sheer wash or silicone wash to it. You could be looking at about 250 units + per color for production runs. Just make sure you present a sample of the Butter hoodie you like so the dye house can use it as a comparable standard.
