American and Continental both have good reputations. Best depends on your requirements, but both are good.
"Another brand"? There are dozens.
You need to start buying samples. For one, you'll have a better idea of what you're dealing with and can work out which brand is better for your purposes. Secondly, you'll probably find there's often not a lot in it - there will be a group of brands you prefer over another group of brands, but there'll be plenty that are just as good as each other and the choice of which to use comes down to price, availability, etc.
There is no undisputed best, even to one person, let alone the whole market.
