| I need a reccommendation for blanks Right now on one of my sites I print all my t-shirts using Hanes 50/50's, Champion Ringer and Raglan t-shirts.
I just started a new site and all of the designs are going to be a little more stylish. Therefore, I would like the t-shirts to be of much better quality. I also want them very comfortable and a little more trendy.
Anyone have any ideas on what I should use?
Thanks | |

| Re: I need a reccommendation for blanks American Apparel is the obvious answer, especially since you said "trendy"; they have the benefit of name brand recognition.

| Re: I need a reccommendation for blanks I saw some organic t-shirts on a American Apparel distributor that were 100% organic that said "no shrinkage" that I may try out.
Does anyone know how AA runs? Do they run a little small or large? I'm a weird size. Seems like XL is too small and XXL is too big when I get the Hanes 50/50's.

| Re: I need a reccommendation for blanks AA sizes actually run the same as most shirts in the market, although some people claim that it runs a little smaller. I personally have several AA shirts and don't notice the difference in the size from AA to another brand. You should also consider getting Alstyle blanks. They're great quality, and cost less than AA. American Apparel is probably the best quality, but if you just want great quality (and not necessarily top notch) then you should go with Alstyle blanks. | |

| Re: I need a reccommendation for blanks I concur that American Apparel is the way to go if you want your shirts to be "trendy". Hipsters love AA.
To the best of my knowledge, The AA sizes are slim-fitted, so they're a little bit smaller. The shirts are longer than most other shirts though, so they fit much nicer than hanes shirts.
to be totally honest, the main reason i print on AA shirts is because it's the only T-Shirt i like to wear.

| Re: I need a reccommendation for blanks And while i'm thinking about it:
the standard AA girls shirts are a bit short, but the AA girls Summer shirt is a bit longer, softer and has a more feminine cut. (lighter material though.)
but i have no analytical data to back that up, just my opinion.

A few years ago before I tried them for myself, I thought that they would run small because of everything that I had heard about their sizing.
After getting a few of them, trying them on, and having friends and family try them, I was surprised that they were nowhere close to as small as I thought they'd be.
Most of my apprehension about trying them came from thinking that they would be too small for what I wanted to accomplish. But I was pleasantly surprised.
If anyone else is being held back by thinking that they run small, I would encourage you to get some samples and try them for yourself.

| Re: I need a reccommendation for blanks Well I just purchased a couple of AA men's t-shirts. XXL from both the Jersey style t-shirt and the organic cotton t-shirts. I'll let you know what I think when I get them. | |
