Something like American Apparel a Little more Baggy??
Hello, I just started a biker/gothic t-shirt company called spiraldown and getting ready to get my five designs printed. I really liked american apparel blanks. I am starting to think that maybe they are a little too tight fit. Is there anything similiar to american apparel but a little more baggy. I still wont a tighter fit but maybe a little looser then american apparel. Does anyone print on american apparel t-shirts and think they are fine with fit.etc
I am definatly looking for a desiner t-shirt, my shirts are going to be priced a little higher.thanks
Re: Something like American Apparel a Little more Baggy??
i'd suggest alstyle's 1701 shirt. they are ringspun cotton which the same as the american apparel shirts. the difference between the two are the thickness. If you are not in shape, meaning you're not built like one of the models showcasing the AA shirts then you WILL NOT like or look right in those thin 4.3 oz fitted shirts. AA shirts are so thin you can see right through the shirt.
The alsyle shirts (alstyle.com) are 5.5 oz shirts which are a little thicker but still has fashion look/cut. They're super soft because it's made from ringsun cotton. The only con to these shirts is the color variation. they have good colors but not as many as AA.

I would say take a look at conitinental for sure... they offer up some strong organic choices, and seem to be spot on re: the characteristics you've mentioned.
Alternative Apparel is a less expensive option from Alpha Shirt co... also similar to AA, but a bit thicker. Pyrarmid, a local brewer uses them for their prints, and the shirts come out great.
All in all, look for shirts that are ring-spun. That will give you the continued shape and softness.
