Default jerzees t-shirt brand

We are just getting into the T-shirt business, and as far as brands go I've got it narrowed down to either Hanes or Jerzees.

Anyone have a preference for either, and if so what are your reasons?

As far as pricing goes, are they good for the money, or is there a brand just as good that costs less?

what kind of designs are you printing? My customers would complain if I used either one of these brands. I tried it one time and they said I was cheap. LOL! I like the Hanes Beefy T but they tend to shrink a great deal and my European customers get pissed. I settled on Shaka and/or AAA and never get complaints. Pricing is about the same.

We'll be using an eco-solvent printer for the prints and a heat press for transfer. I'll check out these brands. I appreciate it!

I pay 1.80 for Shaka and 1.70 for AAA s-xl
I pay a little more for bigger sizes

Well worth it rather than getting returns and customers not happy. Remember my customers can't feel the shirts only a picture. I can't remember the last time I had someone return a shirt. I do know it was a Jerzee.

Plus I only use 100% cotton

same thing same trouble.
Most the brands like FOL-Gildan-Jerzee-Anvil have this stigma attached. The key I find is the quality of the neck line. Gives it some class. I use three key brands AAA-Shaka-Pro Club

I was in your position once used the brands on top and always got them from Jiffy Shirts for good prices but customers ragged all the time so I sought out some other brands and now never get any complaints. I was really surprised.

You don't notice or have any complaints about stretching in the neck, or the lining coming out of it?

I've used Hanes, Jerzees, FOL, Gildan and Anvil for years. Most, if not all, of my customers have been pleased with what they got. Granted, I don't use these for high-end retail stuff... but it should all come down to what, and for whom, you are printing. The quality of all these brands is comparable - which seems to rise and fall with the weight. The only tangible difference is in sizing... Hanes/Gildan being the moderately sized brands, FOL running slightly smaller and Jerzees running a bit larger.

I have several shirts of all these brands in my closet that I've worn for years... no issues at all.

Open yourself to all of the brands... buy the ones that are the color you're looking for or whatever is on sale.

Oh.... and enjoy your new venture. Hope it works out well for you

"Illegitimus Non Carborundum" is what my dad always says (Don't let the bastards grind you down...)

You can never tell what causes someone to complain about a shirt. I had a customer go postal on me a few months ago about some print quality, and demanded a refund. Later I spoke to someone where she worked, and they said that everyone was thrilled with the shirts... but apparently the lady had ordered the shirts and paid the invoice without prior authorization, and had been reemed for spending the money.

Some days are just bad days for folks... and they always seem to need a scapegoat.

We use them both. We find that the sweatshirts and hoodies from Jerzees are a little more comfortable for our customers, yet still give us the freedom to use DTG printing.
