Bamboo/organic cotton blend t-shirts are hands down my favorite t-shirts to wear.

Pros are it's a great fabric to wear, cons are it's more expensive than other blank garments.

You can screen print on them just fine and DTG works as well.

You can also read all kinds of feedback from people who have used bamboo by reading here: bamboo related topics at T-Shirt Forums

DTG means direct to garment printing. It's a machine that you load the t-shirt on and it prints with an inkjet printer right onto the t-shirt.

You can see one in action here and read more about it here: Intro to Direct-to-Garment (dtg) Printing

Also, this Glossary search tag has a lot of good questions answers and common terms defined: glossary related topics at T-Shirt Forums

I agree that Bamboo fabric (100% and blended) is extremely soft and comfy. The 100% fabric however is thin and may not be good for fashion design. Just depends though on your target audience.

On the other hand, Bamboo fabric is expensive to source.

I personally feel that pairing water-based ink printing and bamboo fabric are a perfect match.
