Does anyone sell round koozies with logos on them and do you use the mug press. Can you make anything off of then to make it work getting a mug press?
I have bought a few flat ones, but don't feel I can sell them cheap enough to have people get interested in them, unless someone order a large # of them.
Do businesses have someone screen print on them or do they use the mug press most of the time.

They can be screen printed or be done with a heat press(like t-shirts) . Sometimes we screen them, other times we make transfers and press them, and still other times (very few) we use inkjet transfers.
Is it a cup press I would need or something with other attachements. If you use the heat press method, do you feel like you can sell them cheap enough to get businesses interested, especially where I am a small home business, wanting to get it built up.
Appreciate any information and ideas you can give me.

Hi Linda, we sell the flat or wrap around koozies for $4 personalized. We have made them for small businesses. We also sell alot for weddings where they order 200 to hand out at the wedding! Larger orders we give a price break on. We sell a ton of them at times. Just working on an order for 100 of them for a Gyro food stand. Key is having the good quality koozies, not the paper thin ones. The skies the limit, but you do make more on doing tshirts! Hope this helps!

You didn't mention if you use a cup press or another attachment that goes on a cup press. I don't have one but have thought about adding a hat press, but I have had a couple chances to make koozies. I'm not for sure where you are from, but $4.00 for a finished koozies sounds like quite a bit if someone wanted them for hand outs. I'm in Kansas.
I am always open for ideas and what kinds to purchase.
Do you have a hat press also? Your experience, do you feel like a hat press would get more business than a cup press(if that is what you use for your koozies? )

Linda, if you try to use a mug press, you will have to put something(a can, preferbaly empty) inside of the koozie. If you are looking at starting a business from your home doing koozies, I would suggest getting a flat press, at least a 15x15. You can do koozies, mouse pads, shirts, hoodies, and a whole list of other things, that you can't do with a mug press or cap press.

Linda, do you have a heat press? We use our regular 16X20 flat heat press, we don't have a hat or mug press. We sell high quality flat or the wrap around with neoprene koozies, customers will pay a bit more to have a better koozie. I have seen tons of koozies that are real thin and customers appreciate when they see samples we have made that the koozie is thicker. We use the JPSS paper with Epson Durabrite ink and they last! We buy in bulk so are able to give discounts for large orders, say is a customer orders 200-300 for a wedding, we will sell them for $2.50. Cost is less then $1.50 for us, we just made $200-$300 depending on how many they order. Just made up some samples for the local fire dept., they gave me one they had from another town, again it was thin! They loved the samples I made them and loved the quality of the koozie, they are deciding on how many to order between 36-48 selling them for $3.50@ they think they are getting a great price ... I'm making $2@ profit! We are from a small town of less then 5,000 people with volunteer fire dept.! Let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help!

I do have a 15x15 heat press, I have started with shirts. I have a website.
Slow but gradually building up some business, I have been into it for about 2 years.You know how it is, someone always wants something you don't have or do.That's why I thought about adding a mug or hat press. I have gotten a few flat koozies, but they are pretty thin. I think people would much prefer the thicker round ones. But if you think I would be smarter just working with what I can with the flat press, I would appreciate hearing your opinion. Do you ever sell the flat ones, if so, what kind of a price do you sell them. I thought about atleast $3.00 depending on how many. So far I have given a couple out with a sample of my work with their logo on it. Works pretty good for that.

I do both the flat ones and the wrap around ones ... I purchase them from Coastal and they are good quality koozie. I charge the same price for both. If you order 50 or more they are $1 or less depending on how many you order. I also buy my paper there the JPSS and order enough to get free shipping on my order ... only need to order $199 for free shipping! Plus you can get a discount for being a member here ... more savings!!!
Linda, we only use the collaspable type. You can get them , depending on the number you order, from aroung .35 apiece + freight. They come in a rainbow of colors and work well on a flat press.
