Default Question regarding Anvil 779

Hello all,

I have recently been interested in checking out the brand Anvil for blanks. I have never used them before, nor have i touched let alone wear one. I was hoping that some of you in here may have used them for blanks before and could let me know how they worked for you. I was looking into the Anvil 779 which is a 5.4 oz preshrunk cotton. I usually have just used AAA and then the thicker brands like Pro Club, Pro 5, & Pro T. Any info anyone could post would be very helpful, or if anyone could compare them to anything else. Thanks a lot guys,

Anvill 779 is 10% of what I sell on an annual basis. It is generally less expensive than the other brands like hanes, gildan etc but still very high quality. As far as comparison's go...I've never used AAA (although I've heard of the brand) or any of the other brands you mentioned...but my customers seem to be very happy with Anvil...and I've never had any problems with applications (screen printing or heat applied graphics). Hope that helps.

For comparison I just ordered the anvil line up ... I ordered a large and extra large in these styles... the 5.4 oz 779, 6.1oz 979, and the 4.6 oz 980 with combed ring spun cotton.

I've gotta say, the 4.6 ounce seemed like the best quality T by far... Even the tags are much higher quality on this compared to the other two.

The 5.4oz 779 seemed the cheapest to me, my chest hairs poked through the loose weave and they just didn't feel very substantial ... Go with the 980 unless you want a heavier weight T ... in that case I would do the 979.

I've tried both 5.4 779, and the 4.6 980 rigspun.

The 980 is WAY better. It feels a lot nicer, looks better, and the print goes on better.

The 980 is Anvil's answer to the American Apparel 2001, even down to the thin neck label.

Nice shirt, good price, but I still like AA better. It's softer and a little thicker.

Anvil 980 is a lot like the t-shirts you get at Express for Men too.
