Default Looking For Blank T-shirts that are comparable to the shirts Affliction prints on.

Hey everyone! I have been purchasing American Apparel blanks for the last year or so, and have been very happy with the quality. However, I am ready to expand our line and dive into a more modern 'fashionable' t-shirt. I am looking for a distressed, black T-shirt like Affliction Clothing prints on, but one that fits tighter and longer like Obey. Does anyone have any suggestions? The only thing I have found so far is a company called Bare Apparel, but their wholesale price is pretty high.

Thanks in advance for helping me!

Bare Apparel is probably you're best bet, considering the fact that you are trying to break into the 'fashionable' style apparel your wholesale costs are going to increase due to the better materials. Remember that Afflicition style apparel retails for $40+. Although I haven't personally ordered from Bare Apparel, everything I've ever read about them is stellar, from customer service to product. I'll be placing an order with them in the near future.

Yes, BareApparel is probably going to be the closest you'll find. The wholesale prices are higher, because it costs more to make t-shirts like Affliction There are a lot of specialty washes, techniques, etc that make them unique shirts.

You just have to figure in the extra costs into your retail price.

If you plan to sell at the level of affliction ($50+ retail), then you can expect to have increases costs (both printing and garment) to get your t-shirts to that level.

You can also check out Alternative Apparel and Continental Clothing for some different styles. I think they both have "distressed" shirts with the grinded collars/sleeves, but I haven't seen anybody else with the specialty washes like the "lava wash" or "tea wash".

i dont know....have to disagree on this one...

ITS a name brand tee for the name hense the cost....most affliction shirts i seen have broken collars etc. after wear. remind me of a fruit of the loom under shirt... what people forget that big vendors are in the market for making money, cost plays a big picture...getting more for the money.. people buy the name and deal with the qaulity.

I beg to differ, you have to initially start with a better quality product to get people to spend that extra money on your brand. Maybe after a hard core marketing plan and tons of sales to big name accounts will you be able to drop the quality of the product. Also afflictions profit margins are still going to ridiculous even with the expensive "quality" blanks. Their bulk order numbers are prob ridiculous and their wholesale price is prob cheap as hell.

I do agree with you though on the fact that people buy the name.... but when it wasnt popular they bought it for the product.
