If you don't get the answers you need deep in another thread about a different topic, you may want to try posting the question in its own thread so it gets more notice

Many members might not be seeing your question since they may have already read this topic or may feel it's about something else not related (basically, they won't know you have a question about shirtsupplier.com buried deep in this thread)

Hope this helps. I haven't heard of them or used them myself.

You could try them out on a smaller order since they have no minimums which would help you test the quality. The prices don't seem better than wholesalers like SanMar, TSCapparel or AlphaShirt.com though.

In addition to being a softer fabric the cuts and styles offered by American Apparel and Alternative Apparel are much more stylish and fashionable than those of Hanes or Jerzees or Gildan. Whether you are looking for something with a slightly more fitted structure and especially in terms of tees for women I would say American or Alternative, or even Apparel Agents are your best bet.

Also, the colors offered by these trendier companies are often much more vibrant.

I tried my own thread, can't find it now. I never heard of alpha shirt. Who do you use?

None of these sites have a price list. Or you would have to set up an account to see them.

That's to protect their buyers.

A lot of times you guys look at the piece price (higher)because you think that you only going to buy small quantities so you compare that price. The fact is you should use the case price. You will get it if you set your account up that way. I can buy 1 or 12 and get case price and it is the lowest price.

Yes, that's how you will get the lowest pricing, by setting up an account.

I use many different wholesalers depending on who has the shirt I want at the lowest price. I ordered from SanMar.com and Alstyle.com last week, AlphaShirt.com today, TSCApparel.com last month.

Yes. Wholesalers run promotions, so pricing can vary. They're sometimes out of stock, so if you need something on a deadline you might want to have the option of purchasing elsewhere.

The extra cost of the BT is hard to recover from the customer who only sees the final price. I do have customers who are happy to pay a little more to upgrade to the BT.

I am planning to sell souvenier shirts at youth sports tournaments. I'd like to separate myself from other such vendors by using good quality blanks, not the economical standard. Can Gildan give me that or should I go for Beefy T? Of course, I can't be more than $1/shirt in price than the rest, either.

Thanks,

NS

I like Gildan shirts, but if you want to try and seperate yourself from the pack based on shirt quality - Gildan isn't going to really cut it. You should probably look at the good mid-range options, like Hanes Beefy Tees or Fruit of the Loom 50/50 blends.

T-shirt quality will be one way because many of the images will be custom.

But, from time to time, I will have to make original art for a sport theme, which I plan to use some kind of clipart for, because my best art work usually spotlights stick figures. Some how I don't think athletes (like hockey or football players) will appreciate being portrayed as sticks. hee hee

Can you recommend any good, (sports themed) ready-to-go clipart that I can use and sell on my shirts?

I didn't realize that FOTL 50/50 was at the same level as Beefy T's. Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it.

Does it matter if I use 100% cotton or blended shirts for best results with plastisol transfers?

Thank you!

One other shirt to look at is the PC61 from SanMar. It is about the same price as the Gildan, but I think it feels just a little better than the Gildan, esp. after a few washes.

Get a few samples from www.sanmar.com and wear them for a month, then you can decide which shirt to sell.
