But the fact that I find them scratchy and stiff vs. others finding them soft is the thing I'm still wondering about.
Yeah, that's the part that I'm wondering about as well. That's part of their whole selling point is their "softness". I wonder if it was a bad batch or something. They really shouldn't be scratchy at all.

Although I do think the poly/cotton based shirt is going to feel even softer (like you said, because of the poly).

I considered that momentarily, but they came from two different shops at different times, so it's very unlikely.

Must just be my faulty perceptions

I really like the one P&C shirt I have. Lou uses them sometimes as a backup brand. I believe in general they're not that popular though.

If you're going to do that you should buy PFD rather than white.

I'd argue that Gildan has superb colour selections.

Not that they're of a quality where more off-beat fashion colours are important, though...

They do have a good colour range actually, if we're talking colour I just always have trouble looking past AA.

My favorite is the Hanes Heavyweight 50/50. I think they fit and hold up better than the Beefy Tees and I don't like the little necks on the Beefy-tees either.... also the Port & Co short sleeve tees are OK but the long sleeve tees have really stragely shaped sleeves that I didn't like at all. They aren't made quite as well as the Hanes IMO, but I always found them cheaper than anything else.

yea ive tried AA, great colors indeed, just the ones i like the light and pastels, but just the fit is not my style , its too small and fitted and expensive, but i just ordered some Port and Company, so ima check those out, if those are comparable to Gildan , than ill stick with P&C, do you all think it is comparable

Comparable quality, comparable cut (though better), but definitely a different feeling shirt (the one I have anyway... I think it's a lighter weight shirt, so I may not be strictly comparing like to like).

I agree! So far, I have tested a number of distributors (includes listing for up to 1000 Ts)... not one has gotten close to that price.

I would love to know the vendor!

SanMar.com has Hanes Beefy. AlphaShirt.com has both.

I take it that this means no. I have asked this more than once with no reply. I have found that they are the cheapest. Or from what I have seen. But I don't want to find out the hard way why they are so cheap. I can't remember how I found them.

If there is anyone that knows anything about this company, please let me know.
