i am looking for trendy, upscale-looking hoodies... something a "hot chick" would wear. similar to the juicy couture or babyphat styles. specifically looking for styles for females only, hot colors, great fit, little details like cute zipper pullers a bonus.
have satin lining the hood and a definite body-conscious fit. i have already researched the big-name brands, hanes, gildan, etc. i am looking for maybe a lesser-known brand?
Ya know I wonder too how someone can get items like that ...what I do know is that when I was working the corporate sector I went into manhattan and had my suits and even some of my shoes made for me. They were neither cheap nor expensive (never more than $600 - $800) but always perfectly tailored. Perhaps that is what you need to do. There are textile companies EVERYWHERE ...you just need to find out what they are making and see if it can work into your line of clothing. You won't know if you don't ask. I do know the cutest damn things come out of NYC. I have no idea if there are any other "strong" american markets besides the garment district in manhattan.
..and try this site they are a preferred vendor that offers our members a 20% discount (i think thats right) and some of their stuff is trendy maybe they can direct you or make something for you. HSP: Custom manufacturing

I personally don't believe there's anything out there that isn't possible... simply nothing. If you want these hoodies ...break your *** to get em and you will! Meanwhile checkout this other wholesaler we have ...some cute stuff here and again if you dont see what you want precisely ...ask a rep!! KAVIO! provides for the promotional embroidery and imprinted market
i agree.... there has to be someone out there making these hoodies and wondering where to locate buyers. it's just a matter of us finding each other, which is why forums such as these are great!

I don't think it's necessarily true that there has to be a company out there making these specific type hoodies wholesale. Many brands and styles that you see in stores are custom made for that particular brand by factories overseas by the 1000's. If you just need 50, you may find it next to impossible to source.
That being said, there are a lot of great hoody manufacturers out there with a wide variety of styles. The Kavio link is a good one.
you might try Boxercraft and Soffe (collegiate division). both carry hip apparel aimed at the college market. i sell to sororities and they love 'em. Soffe has a couple new styles of hoodies with deep v-neck and deep scoop necks. you can buy as blank or imprinted at a very low printing cost. good luck!!
thanks, for input, guys! keep'em coming! i am going through a divorce and trying to do business from home so i can stay with my 2-year-old. so much to learn!
I'm looking for some hoodies also and had a couple of questions.
- Are 100% cotton ones ok or is it better if they are blends?
- Kavio hoodies - I only found one post so far that talks about the actual quality of their stuff and it mentions that the product shrunk a lot after the first wash. Has anyone else tried their products and if so, could you please share a little info?
- What about District Threads, more specifically item # DT207 Full Zip Hoody? And do you know what's the lowest price those can be bought? Both Sanmar catalog and DT catalogs list it at $27.50 and that's too pricey for a blank hoody.
Thank you
Did you check Alphashirt.com? They have some great alternative clothing. Infact I buy all my clothing from them. If you set up an account and buy on line, and then need to return something you have 30 day's to do the online return and they pay shipping and there is NO restocking fee!
You also might want to check out Continental if you haven't already. I think these are one of the few places where you can get it as custom looking as possible for a blank. In other words, they have cool/trendy blank sweaters/hoodies for both men and women.
Check out some of these styles and see if they come close to what you're seeking. If not, then yeah, I agree that you're gonna have to go overseas for custom work.
