Hi there. I have ordered 182 blank t-shirts from Gualts Apparel for the first time. I opened a wholesale account with them, ordered online, and t-shirts came to my house next day by UPS and I thought it was great! When I opened the t-shirts and checked them, I found that about 13 of them had either a small whole, pen mark, black smudge(s) or black dot(s). They are very small but you will notice for sure and I don't want to sell them with my company name on it. And, 5 more are border line...
Is it normal to have 10% of your order being stained or damaged that cannot sell? Do you guys normally return them and request replacements or do you just accept it as part of the business?? It is the first time so I don't want to complain from the first order but it is about $32.00 of the cost I have to eat. I couldn't find the thread regarding this issue. If it is already discussed, please let me know the links.
You should have no damaged/stained items in any order. Was the package damaged or stained in any way? I would let the company know ASAP.

No, the boxes were in good shape and I don't think those marks are from the delivery (especially a straight pen mark could be from a person who packed and marked the box...). I used to get from a local blank t-shirts supplier but that time, I got many t-shirts with small wholes, dots, lable not centered and so on so stop using them. I thought Gualts could be OK but that wasn't the case for this order. I will let the company know on Monday and see what they would say.
Thanks for the link. You guys have a lot of Blank T-shirts choices down there! I live in Ontario, Canada and my shipping came from Gualts' Toronto warehouse. I got white Gildan 2000 Ultra Cotton for $1.55 (special price until May 16!) so I can't complain too much I guess. Still, I will contact the company tomorrow and see I they can do.

Good luck Michelle! I dont see any reason why they would not try and do something for you there is never a time you should have damaged product in your order. I hope it all works out for you

in the years i've done this, i've gotten exactly ONE sweatshirt (or maybe it was a hoodie...) that had a small manufacturing defect in the fabric and it was replaced immediately by the supplier, no additional freight and a return shipping tag for the defective garment. i'd call them and give them a chance to explain/investigate/make it right, but in no way is that kind of damage acceptable!
