Default 5.5 oz verses 6.0 or 6.1 - which will shrink more?

Will a 5.5 oz men's tee shirt tend to shrink more than a 6.0 or 6.1 oz garment? Any help would be great!

thanks

I don't the ounce weight of a garment will have much to do with how much it shrinks.

I don't think the weight has anything to do with shrinkage. The brand will.

For me, I don't like to embroider on the 5.5 oz, but they're fine for screen printing, heat pressed transfer, or vinyl.

In my experience, the Gildan and the Port Authority shirts hold their shape the best, and there is very little shrinkage (if any). I usually wash my tees in cold or warm water, and recommend that to my customers as well.

I would agree with Rodney and Michelle. I am pretty sure the weight does not control the shrinkage. I use Port Authority without problem but I do try to use 50/50 just to avoid problems

wow, I agree with all the above.. it is the garment type not the weight.
