hi guys

new to this biz and wanted to know what its called when a garment has stitching that deliberately stands out eg. high shiny silver stitching (metallic look). who has seen this and do you know if any companies in asia manufacture baby onesies with the silver stitching?

I don't think I've heard of metallic threads in the stitching. I've seen contrast stitching where the stitching used is the opposite color of the garment color, but nothing metallic.

There are lots of manufacturers in asia...I'm sure there are some that could produce what you're looking for. It's just a matter of sourcing them and communicating what you need. Places like alibaba.com are a good place to start.

Hi I use metallic threads but not offen they are hard to work with the make the eye of the needle bad after about 5 thousand stitches.

I have used those threads as well. They are not too bad to use, and i agree with Pat they are kinda hard on the needles. I am not familiar with any companies in China but i am sure that you could find an embroidery company near you that could help you out.
