Default Need quality t-shirts

I just want to start off saying that i'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right subject, if not, maybe a moderator can move it to the correct subject? Regardless, my name is Matt, i'm new here. Me and a friend of mine want to print some of his designs on t-shirts but my problem is that I don't know where to find a high quality t shirt to print on. I don't want to print on a cheap t-shirt. I'm also not looking to buy in bulk at the time being, just a couple of shirts. Can anyone point me maybe to a site or help me clarify the difference in some high quality t-shirts that are available and where to purchase them? I would really appreciate it big time. Thanks guys.

Hey Matt,

I'm new here too, but had the same questions when i started 3-4 yrs ago. We use TSC Apparel or Heritage Sportswear. A good tee that i like is the Gildan 6.1 cotton. They are a little longer and have a great life to them. They should cost you about 1.25 for whites and 2 for colors. Anvil and Delta are pretty decent shirts too. I don't care for Jerzees, they tend to shrink and feel thin. Occasionally with any shirt you will find flaws but overall the 3 above are my faves for the price. Also the above companys do not have minimums and shipping is pretty quick. Hope it helps and good luck

If you are just looking to get a couple to start off with, I would suggest Walmart or Target. They sell some of the same shirts we buy wholesale. Expect to pay about $4 to $5 a shirt, which is what you would pay with a wholesaler anyway after shipping costs.

I really appreciate the input guys. A question, what kind of shirts do companies like affliction/ed hardy/christian audigier print on in comparison to a company like johnny cupcakes/lucky brand print on? I mean im sure this question has been asked but i'm not really all too sure where to find it. I really like the material that affliction and ed hardy print on. Is it possible to get blanks of those shirts from somewhere? I only want a few to print on at the moment but I have the slightest idea where to look. I appreciate all the feedback guys, i really do. You guys are some cool people. Thank you.

If you use the search box at the top of the page and search for affliction or johnny cupcakes, you'll find all types of information about what type of printing they do, what kind of t-shirts they use.

The search box is how you find all the questions and answers that have been asked before

Johnny Cupcakes uses AmericanApparel t-shirts (americanapparel.net ...also available from TSC Apparel).

Affliction has custom garments made by the 1000's to their specs.

Everyone's definition of "high quality" differs depending on who their customer is and what they are using the t-shirts for.

For the high end brands like you're talking about, you can find sort of similar garments at wholesalers like American Apparel, Article1, Continental Clothing, Alternative Apparel, Royal Apparel, etc.
