Smile Best value t's for a start up??

Hi,
I am trying to decide what t-shirts I should go with. I will be using heat transfers with vintage designs, at a later date will use my own designs. Would like to use something like Continental Clothing vintage t's, althought they seem expensive for a newbie like me. Any other company out there that make vintage wash/distressed t's at a good price??? Or should I just use a T like gilden???Would like to use good quality t-shirts. I am based in Ireland, so need a supplier in UK/Europe. Thanks for any advice.

the best bet is to get hold of a few samples from different manufacturers and see which you like for fit, feel and construction. My personal opinion is that the continental Ts are over-rated but I've seen them rebranded and sold for over £25 (Supreme Being for example). Jerzees do a vintage, fitted T for example and you could look at AAA, both are available in mainland UK so should be no probs for you. I'd avoid Gildan, they are pretty bombproof but a very baggy fit and rough feeling material.

Thanks for the info. I tend to agree with you with regards to Continental, same about Gilden. Will take a look at at the two yo mentioned and get some samples. Thanks

try BTC activewear, they stock most big brands and ought to be able to supply samples to you. Continental are a funny one, they do the skinny fit Ts which are fine if you're a waif like teen but for anyone with even a bit of average bulk around the arms or shoulders they get tight under the armpits and look bad. Don't think they are particularly well stitched either but plenty like them...

thanks for the info. I know what u mean with regards to Continental. I will be using Large & XL only, the samples I got from them are not that great a fit.
