Discuss the wholesale blanks industry: Factory direct, custom labels. You can also use this forum to locate a wide variety of wholesale products including t-shirts, hoodies, mousepads, coffee mugs and other imprintable products.
Trendyblanks.com is just too awful to continue dealing with for one more second. Seriously.
Only trouble is, they seem to be the only game in town since the bulk of my volume is infant, toddler, and youth sized tees and no one else seems to carry much, if anything, from American Apparel in those size ranges.
I don't yet have a tax ID, etc. so I can't set up a wholesale acct directly with AA.
Please, please, please tell me that there is a good alternative to Trendy Blanks out there??? I don't know what I'm going to do if I have to place one more order with that dreadful place.
What causes your stress with TB? I haven't tried them myself, but you sparked my curiosity. Do your tees HAVE to be AA's, or is that just your preference?
They have to be AA's which is making things complicated.
Their service just plain stinks. Website states again and again that orders placed before a certain time will ship same day - mine always ship the next day and one didn't ship for three days.
Website states that they will notify within 24 hours if items are backordered - I've had several backorders with *no* notification whatsoever, so I don't find out until a week later, when my order finally arrives.
On top of that, when I ask about the missing items, they tell me that they are "most likely" backordered - so, are they or aren't they? - and that backorders take up to 14 business days to ship. I've been waiting on one for a month now (a month today, actually) and they will give me no indication as to a) whether they actually *are* backordered, and b) when I can expect them to ship.
It takes several days to get an email response much of the time, and I often get no response at all until I send a second or third email.
I haven't heard of a site like them selling the "trendy" blanks.
I would suggest getting the tax id/seller's permit necessary and just setup accounts with the vendors directly.
That's what I was afraid of. Bummer. Thanks for replying, though!
I'm planning to do that (tax id) after the new year, just to make it easier from an accounting standpoint, but was hoping I could find a good alternative for the next couple months - because they are THAT bad.
came across this forum on google, and i'd just like to say that i disagree. trendy blanks is not that terrible. i've had no problem with them before. i received emails about backordered items and received them in the mail no more than 2 weeks later. no problems here. it just sounds like you're overexaggerating. it could be much worse. your alternative to trendyblanks? try ebay, much more expensive. honestly, you're finding AA for such a great price, why complain?

Glad to hear that you haven't had any problems with them - it sounds like you've been much luckier than I have.
I can guarantee that I am not "overexaggerating" - the shipping delays, the failure to provide notification of backorders, the unresponsive customer service have all occured - so there is nothing to exaggerate.
Why complain? Because this company doesn't meet its own promises, and shows no desire to do so. Sure, their prices are good, but the experience of dealing with them - wondering if an order has shipped, if it will arrive complete, spending three days requesting a tracking number to determine when it will even be showing up - is simply not worth it.
I just ordered some stuff from Trendy Blanks and I just want to know if they actually ship their goods quickly. I just want to know because I have never ordered from them and they did not give me any tracking information and I had a pretty big order. I just want to make sure they actually give you what you pay for.
I order from Trendy Blanks even though I have a wholesale AA account. This is for a few reasons:
- My quantities are really small, so TB actually ends up being cheaper.
- TB ships much faster than AA.
- TB is better about returning flawed items than AA.
It's true, TB is still annoying to deal with because of no ship notifications, but I still think the benefits outweight the costs.
