I ordered Article 1 organic tees amongst my past batch (ordered for a client who wanted only organic - mostly hemp and bamboo, though). I thought they were very classy. Great cut, very well made. In my opinion, they are far better quality than American Apparel, to compare to a similar 'designer' style of tee that is better known generally than Article 1.

I've used them before and I like them. I especially like their "euro fit" tee. It has a nice soft wash and some good colors.

Thanks guys. I printed on American Apparel like 4 years ago, and was not impressed by the quality of the t. Not to mention, I live in Atlanta and they have a store located here, i often go in the store to see if they have any new pieces, and feel the texture of the shirts, NOT IMPRESSED!

thanks, i'm excited to try the Article 1 t.

It depends on what you're going for though.

Some people don't like that whole style of t-shirts (lighter weight, vintage feeling, slimmer cut).

I don't know if Article1 will have *that* different of the texture of the shirts than American Apparel. Some styles will (like the Euro fit), but some styles may not.

What kind of t-shirt are you looking for? What's your market?

I like the Article 1 shirts a lot and I love the tearaway tag. They seem to be very fitted - both mens and womens - I think run even a little bit smaller than the standard American Apparel. I've been ordering shirt samples for the last year trying to find the ones I like the best - I usually have people at the shop and friends try them on too, so here are a few faves if this helps at all:

American Apparel Sheer Jersey Summer T-shirt - both men's and women's - love this fit - stretchy and fitted at the same time.

American Apparel 50/50 - both men's and women's are very comfortable, stretchy and fitted.

Alternative Apparel Sheer Jersey Crew for women is one of the best fitting shirts I have ever tried on.

Continental Clothing Bamboo T-shirts.

Article 1 50/50 - men's is a great fit - women's runs very small.

Alternative Apparel Destroyed T looks great and fits very nicely - fitted without being tight.

I'm always on the lookout for great fitting shirts - if anyone else has suggestions please let me know!

Thanks guys, I am actually looking for a shirt that is fitted, soft, and designer cut. That is very important to me. Although for the men, I do not want a t that runs xtra small. Im marketing to the person that loves style and will buy the t because its fun and ultra stylish; maybe dress the tees up with funky jeans or a cute skirt.
thank you for the other options, i will also check those out.
