You could try visiting the americanapparel.net website and seeing if they have a wholesaler in Houston (or you could just buy them wholesale online from a place like trendyblanks.com or one of the other online wholesalers that I mentioned)

In Houston, I use Broder. They have a warehouse in Stafford and Dallas that usually arrive the next day after I order from them.

FYI, statonwholesale.com has location in Dallas. No minimum, you can pick up.
Getting account set up is easy. Did not see American Apparel. Have you considered other companies similar to American Apparel as well...Alternative Apparel, Bella, etc. Agree with Rodney, go to American Apparel website and look for distributors near you or order direct.
