This is my first post here, and hoping you can all help me out..
I'm looking for black hoodies... And currently the ones I'm looking at are from Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, Gildan, and Jerzees. I have seen other rec's but would like to get some reviews and recommendations for the brands below... Here are the specific ones:
Fruit of the Loom® Heavy Cotton Hooded Sweatshirt - 18130R 90% cotton/10% polyester 9.0 ounce heavyweight hooded pullover sweatshirt. One-piece/one-ply hood with double-needle hem and matching tipped drawcord. Pouch pocket. Metal grommets. Ribbed cuffs and waistband with spandex.

I've used the Gildan hoodies for some gym wear and i could not fault them for use with garment vinyl, there may be heavier out there but it depends what you want them for. I don't know about screenprint yet as i'm just looking into it.
If i was selling as my own brand i would look for a heavier one but for the price i do like the Gildan.
Any of the above are ok for vinyl or plastisol transfers. The weight and cotton content are the deciding factors for you. How heavy do you want the product to be. I generally am very active in hoodies and like them fairly lite. I also like the blend because my hoodies get dirty and I dont want any shrinkage from the multiple washes. I am tall and have had sweats just die on me. I live in so. Texas so purchase relative to your weather conditions. I will wear a hoodie, tee and shorts right into early January. Our hoodie purchasing starts about now and sales start in October and end here around late March.
I have not ordered samples but went to my supplier's showroom yesterday.
He did mention that the Gildan 12500 was the most popular hoodie, but wanted to check with you guys to make sure.
I went into my closet and looked for ones too, I have old Fruit of the Looms I didn't really like but they're old so who know if they changed the style.
And I know of a lot of people who used Jerzees but say they're too thin.
I'll go with Gildan and see what happens. Thank you!
