Question Question about different shirt types...

Hey all, I'm new here. I'm a graphic designer by profession, but looking to sell my artwork on a variety of color tees (mostly one color, screened.) I've decided to order my blanks though Alpha in Chicago (I live in Indianapolis), but wanted to know if anyone has had any prior experience with these different shirt types. They're cheaper on the price scale, but I wanna make sure they're still comfortable and will do the job. I want something along the lines of American Apparel's cotton tees (Only without the whopping price tag). The shirts are:

Mens:

5280 Hanes 5.50z Cotton Tee

3931 Fruit of the Loom 5.6oz Cotton Tee

Ladies:

978 Anvil Ladies 5.6oz Cotton Tee

G200L Gildan 6.1oz Ultra Cotton Tee

You can try buying samples from Pacific Sports and see if they will fit your needs. I think they are a bit less expensive

As Rodney mentioned, Pacific Sports has been talked about lately as a possible alternative (I haven't tried them). M&O Knits do a cheaper ringspun cotton shirt, but it's still not along the same lines (though it is a step in that direction).

Depending on what you mean by "along the same lines" I don't think there is one - part of what makes American Apparel American Apparel is the fact that they're made in the US and have a great colour range. Even if you find a cheap shirt with a similar cut, it won't have those other features.

If you just want something that's soft, slim cut, etc. then maybe something like the PS shirts will work, but there's certainly not a flood of commonly used alternatives. It's just the usual story: everyone wants a premium product at the same price as the sweatshop product.
