Hi,

I'm looking for an actual factory that makes the t-shirts, possibly in N. Cali I would like a group of kids interested in starting their own T-shirt company to visit it. We are in Sacramento. Thanks.

Hate to break this to you but California is about the most unfriendly place in the world to run a business, especially something that requires a lot of labor. You can probably find some distributors up there. SanMar has a warehouse in Reno.

Hi Miss Kim, welcome to the T-Shirt Forums!

If your students are starting a t-shirt company, they probably wouldn't need a "factory" where they make the actual garments.

T-Shirt companies usually buy t-shirts already made (like Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, American Apparel) and then they have those shirts printed by a screen printer.

There are lots of screen printers in the Sacramento area that can show you the process of how a blank t-shirt gets turned into a printed t-shirt.

As far as a factory where the actual garment is made, the closest one I know of is in Los Angeles.
