Default American Apparel wholesale pricing for printers vs. non-printers

I just got my reseller's license # which I needed before I could get wholesale pricing from American Apparel directly. Before he would give me pricing the rep at American Apparel asked me if I was doing the printing or if I was outsourcing it. The truth is it's a combination of both, but I told them I was outsourcing. They sent me wholesale pricing that's the same I could get from local distributors. The distributors have to be making a profit margin. Would I have gotten better pricing from them if I had said I'm doing the printing myself? Anyone know? I appreciate the help.

First off, you should have told them both, if that's the case

The distributors would be buying in MUCH larger quantities since they are wholesaling as well. So you wouldn't be able to get the same price as a distributor unless your quantities are the same.

Even printers won't get the same price as distributors.
