Default SPF Protection in Shirts

I am new here, 2nd thread, and not sure where to post this. I am looking for both long and short sleeved t-shirts with sun protection - Anyone know where I can find these? I have tried your basic, Sanmar, Broder, Conde Systems etc.... any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thank you

Welcome to the forums!

Have you tried Googling "tshirt uv protection?" I did that based on your question and found this company, among a few others, offering what I believe you're seeking:

Sun Protection Clothing UV Protection SPF® Clothing, Hats and Sunscreen Products from the Sun Protection Center

You may want to do more creative searches using the letters uv in the search.

Thanks for the info - I did a search for something similar but I am also looking for wholesale pricing. I dont want to charge too much to resell it to a customer.... But I would imagine that anyway I go, it is going to be a bit more expensive -

Thanks

Ok, I understand.

I have often asked retailers for wholesale pricing and more often than not, they offer it or have put me in touch with their supplier who offers products at wholesale.

I would strongly suggest asking.

Here's another approach you may possibly want to take on this...

If you find a t-shirt whose manufacturer claims it offers UV protection, you can have UV testing done on perhaps the most popular color of that shirt you want to sell. Or, you can ask if the manufacturer has done their own testing and if they will provide results.

This lab in Alabama does UV testing at $50 per fabric, per color:

International UV Testing Laboratories Services

This is what they test for:
  • UV Transmittance Testing
  • Standards: AATCC 183
  • Spectrophotometer testing
  • Calculates UPF, UV transmitted, and UV blocked
Good luck!
