Default how to read size chart?

hi, i need help in working out a tee size. when a size chart says

Male
small 34-36
medium 38-40
large 42-44
x-large 46-48
2x-large 50-52

Female
x-small 0-2
small 4-6
medium 6-8
large 8-10
x-large 12-14



what exactly is it a measurement of? waist? chest? they r article 1 tees if that helps.



i need this info a.s.a.p. if anyone can help. thanks

They're equivalent to clothing sizes. The male measurements are chest measurements in inches. Not sure how the female system is set up (the numbers don't have a meaning that I'm aware of). Try googling, there are lots of conversion charts readily available.

It looks like the male sizes are in inches measured with a measuring tape around the top of the chest. I think it's the garment measurement and not the body measurement.

The female measurements look like the US female sizing chart. So if a lady would normally wear a size 12, they would be a size XL in Article1 sizing.

I'll ask Gianna for some clarification

The sizing for the mens goes back to suiting....same measurements. So if you wear a 42-44 in a suit you would be a large in the Article.1 mens basic tee...Womens is based on womens sizing over all....If a woman wears a size 0-2 overall in thier clothing, then they can fit into our xs.....Hope this helps!

say.... on a bella shirt i was shown... the sizing said 12-14 and to me this seemed pretty fitted... i certainly wouldnt call this an XL girls... im about 32-34 chest not sure.. and to me it seemed a pretty skinny fit for a girl... i know they stretch in girls but cmon cant be THAT much do some of these sizings change with brands?
